Woolly Sunflower (Eriophyllum)

Three Woolly sunflowers are found in Anza-Borrego. Wallace's Woolly Daisy, Eriophyllum wallaceii, is the most common. This is a tiny yellow plant that qualifies as a "belly flower."
Lesser known are Woolly Sunflower, E. ambiguum var. paleaceum, and Woolly Frocks, Eriophyllum lanosum.
