Three dissimilar plants of genus Psorothamnus are found in Anza-Borrego.
White Dalea or Dyeweed, Psorothamnus emoryi, is a subshrub best known as the host for the parasite Pilostyles thurberii, the smallest plant of the desert.
Indigo Bush, Psorothamnus schottii, is a shrub.
The Smoke Tree, Psorothamnus spinosus, generally takes on tree-like proportions.
