Goldfields, Lasthenia gracilis

Goldfields covers the ground in spring with spectacular carpets of golden yellow flowers. It is found in the desert and mountain areas of Anza-Borrego, and nearby highways from Warner Springs to Lake Hodges.

Note the long, thin stems.
