Pinyon Pine Cones, Pinyon Mountain Valley
The Vallecito Mountains bring a pleasant change of life zones to the area. In and above the Pinyon Mountain Valley is Anza-Borrego's largest and most accessible pinyon-juniper woodland.
True to its name, it is a place of Pinyon Pines and California junipers, and also Desert Agave and Mohave Yucca.
