Anza-Borrego South: Palm Canyon Wash

Palm Canyon Wash near the start of the trail to Mortero Palms

Palm Canyon Wash and Mortero Wash are major drainages of the Jacumba Mountains. Palm Canyon Wash flows from the mountains eastward circling around the south side of the Coyote Mountains.

The photo below is a view upwash from the Mortero Palms trailhead. The main canyon turns left at the shrubs in the middle of the photo and continues uphill. A right fork can also be taken around the peak shown here.
